Police Searching For Suspect After 2 Men Attacked In Golden

After two transients were beaten Wednesday, police said the attack may be linked to a similar one in January.

GOLDEN, CO — Two transients were attacked in Golden Wednesday morning near the Colorado School of Mines, police said. The Golden Police Department said the assault may be linked to a similar attack earlier this year.

A man yelled "get out of my city/town" at the two people and then attacked them, police said. The two men suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they believe the attacker was targeting transient people in Golden, and the public was not in danger.

Two transients were attacked in January near where the latest attack occurred, police said. The suspect also told them to "get out of my city/town" in the January attack. One was hit in the neck with a blunt object, and the suspect tried to use a stun gun on the victims.

The suspect is described as a white man between 25 and 40 years old, between 5'8 and 5'10 and 140 to 160 pounds. He has blue eyes, and was wearing dark clothes and a dark mask, police said.
