Semi-Rollover On I-70 Spills Thousands Of Beverage Cans
A male driver was slightly injured when his semi carrying thousands of beverage cans overturned on I-70 near U.S. 6.

GOLDEN, CO -- A semi truck carrying beverage cans crashed and rolled over on westbound I-70 near US 6 Wednesday afternoon around 2 p.m., the Colorado Dept. of Transportation said. The male driver was slightly injured in the crash on the off-ramp to Exit 244 (Floyd Hill) according to the Colorado State Patrol. Thousands of aluminum cans and a fuel oil spill meant the exit for Hwy. 6 was blocked for about two hours to clean up the mess.
Then, around 4 p.m., as CDOT crews worked to clean the crash site, a second car slid into the work zone and crashed.
"No CDOT crews or first responders were harmed...but this could have been much worse!"
