Tilt-A-Whirl For Sale: What's In Heritage Amusement Park Auction?

Complete list: Swan boats, zip line, go carts and arcade games will all go to the highest bidder next week in Golden.

GOLDEN, CO – Nostalgic already for the old Heritage Amusement Park in Golden? You can buy a piece of it next week at auction. The amusement park, which closed in June, has put everything up for auction on Oct. 25 at the site of the amusement park on Magic Mountain at 18301 Colfax Ave. (Rt. 40), in Golden.

After neighboring asphalt pit business Martin Marietta bought the property in 2011, park leaseholder Alan Bader tried to keep the amusement park going. But last summer, the park announced that they had "reached a settlement" with Martin Marietta and would be closing.

For sale is "a complete amusement park" including rides, arcade games, three go kart fleets, bumper boats, zip line, swan paddle boats and restaurant equipment. Norton of Michigan Auctioneers will be selling the equipment, which is described as "clean [and] well-maintained."
