U.S. 6 Closed In Clear Creek Canyon For Falling Rock Repairs
Twelve miles of road on U.S. 6 west of Golden will be closed while CDOT remediates canyon walls.

JEFFERSON/CLEAR CREEK COUNTIES - Workers from the Colorado Department of Transportation will close 12 miles of U.S. 6 west of Golden to work on canyon rock mitigation next week.
Beginning Monday, Jan, 7, the section of the canyon road between the junction of Colorado Highways 93 and 58 in Golden and CO 119 will be closed to all traffic weekdays.
The $3 million project performed by crews from Apex Rockfall Mitigation of Grand Junction will prevent natural rockslides by strengthening the rock walls above the highway, CDOT said.
