Arapahoe County Offers Relief Funding To Small Businesses
"Small business is at the very heart of a thriving economy and has been hit especially hard during the pandemic."

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, CO — Applications are now available for direct relief payments to Arapahoe County small businesses that have been affected by the pandemic.
A new state law, which was passed by the General Assembly Dec. 2, is providing $37 million to eligible small businesses across Colorado. The businesses must be complying with public health guidelines and seeing a loss of revenue, officials said.
While the total amount of funding the state will provide to Arapahoe County businesses is still unknown, eligible businesses can apply to receive grant funds until Jan. 31, the county said.

Among the guidelines:
- Businesses that previously received 2020 Cares Act funding are not eligible, officials said.
- The maximum amount of funding a business can receive is $7,000. If application demand is greater than the funding received, the county will prioritize funding for eligible small businesses with receipts of fewer than $500,000, followed by those with receipts between $500,000 and $1 million, officials said.
“Small business is at the very heart of a thriving economy and has been hit especially hard during the pandemic,” said Nancy Sharpe, Arapahoe County Board Chair.
“We encourage eligible small businesses within Arapahoe County to apply, without delay, so this funding can help keep their doors open with the support of funding programs like this.”
