Arapahoe County Fair organizers are looking for enthusiastic and fun-loving people to volunteer their time during the 2021 Fair, July 22-25. Individuals and groups are needed each year to help make the Fair a success, and our volunteers will fill a wide variety of positions, including gate ambassadors, exhibit hall greeters, Open Class judging, staffing Heritage and Homestead booths, photographers and more.
Team Leader volunteers also will return this year. Past volunteers who have demonstrated leadership and expertise for at least three years can apply for this position. Team Leaders are important liaisons between staff and volunteers and therefore must commit to at least three volunteer shifts and a training session before the Fair. Team Leaders provide volunteers with instruction, answer questions, help fairgoers and more.

Volunteering at the Fair is a great opportunity for teens and adults to get involved with their community, stay active, and do something unique and exciting this summer. Small groups of five-to-10 people are also needed to volunteer together before, during and after the Fair each day for tasks including groundskeeping work, gate ambassadors, assisting 4-H in animal competition setup and cleanup after the Fair.
Shifts generally last four hours, with breaks provided, and start times vary. Each volunteer receives a free T-shirt, refreshments and general admission to the Fair on the day they work.
We are currently taking applications to fill a variety of positions. Volunteers must be 13 years or older.
