Attempted Child Abduction At Harriman Lake Park: Jeffco Sheriff
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is warning of an attempted child abduction.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Deputies are searching for a suspect after he tried to grab a 9-year-old girl Tuesday at Harriman Lake Park, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.
The attempted child abduction occurred at 7:20 p.m. on the Weaver Gulch Trail south of West Quincy Avenue and South Kipling Street, authorities said.
The girl was walking with her friend, when a suspect grabbed the girl by the shoulder, and she screamed, the sheriff's office said. He then ran west.

The suspect was wearing a black bandana, a black hoodie, sunglasses and dark pants with a hole in the knee, deputies said. His age and height were not known.
