LITTLETON, CO — The 2020 Littleton Calendar photo contest has been launched, and submissions from talented local photographers are being accepted. The contest, which is open to everyone, is accepting horizontal images taken in, "or associated with," the City of Littleton, officials said.

Each photographer can enter up to five of their own images, but only one will be selected. There is no fee to enter. Seasonal, event, or holiday-themed photos are encouraged, the city said.

Submissions will be accepted until Friday, Sept. 30, and can only be entered online. Photographers will be asked to accept a Permanent Photo Release before their entry can be submitted.

Judging will take place the week following the submission deadline. Members of the city’s fine arts board will judge the photographs and choose 13 winners — one for each month and one for the calendar cover.

Winners will receive $25 cash, 10 calendars and publicity via news releases and distribution of 15,000 calendars, the city said. Winners will be notified by phone and/or email after judging has been completed.

  • Check the address to be sure the photo was taken within the city limits.
  • Photo dimension MUST be at least 12″w x 9″h @ 300 dpi (3600w x 2700h pixels);

  • No watermarks, dates, logos, names, etc. can be added to the photograph.
