City Of Littleton Phased Reopening Schedule

LITTLETON, CO — As Colorado's coronavirus vaccine rollout continues, some governments are announcing phased re-opening schedules for city services.

Littleton City Council is set to return to in-person meetings beginning June 1, officials said. The council chamber has been remodeled to allow for social distancing, and community members will be welcome inside after more than a year of virtual meetings; however, no other public access to Littleton Center will become available until around Sept. 1 due to construction and relocation of many office spaces, the city said.

The city’s public works administrative offices are scheduled to move June 1 to Geneva Lodge, officials said.

Several of the city’s boards and commissions — including the Fine Arts Board and the Arts and Culture Commission — are already meeting in person. The remaining nine boards and commissions will gradually return to in-person meetings, the city said.

Police records, building plan review and inspections continue to be available by appointment only.

The municipal court is operating on a hybrid schedule, and defendants are notified of their options to appear, the city said.

The Bemis Public Library and the Littleton Museum are welcoming people back at 80 percent capacity — more information can be found here.

All businesses in Arapahoe, Jefferson and Douglas counties are operating at 100 percent capacity. Arapahoe and Jefferson counties are operating under Level Clear until Aug. 16, which allows public health officials to reinstate business capacity limits if there's a surge of COVID-19 hospitalizations.

The city announced the following free upcoming events:

• Meet, Greet & Eat: Wednesdays - June 30 at Sterne Park; July 14 at Progress Park; and August 11 at Ketring Park
• Fourth of July Fireworks Show: July 3 at Cornerstone Park
• Littleton Twilight Criterium: July 31
• Little Jams: July 10 at Harlow Park, Raising Cain; August 13 at Sterne Park, Kyle Allgood and the No Goods; Sept. 18 at Aspen Grove, band TBD.
