Colorado Coronavirus Vaccination Progress Update: April 7

Here's the latest information about how many Coloradans have been vaccinated and which counties have the highest vaccination rates.

More than 1.8 million Coloradans have received at least their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to state data. More than 1.1 million Coloradans — just under 20 percent of the state's population — are fully immunized.

All Colorado residents ages 16 and older became eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine Friday; however demand continues to outpace supply, and vaccination appointments often disappear within minutes of becoming available.

Still, more and more people are getting shots daily through more than 1,200 health care providers and clinics in Colorado. Everyone who wants to be vaccinated should be able to receive their first appointment by the end of May, Gov. Jared Polis said.

Some counties have higher rates due to higher populations of people ages 60 and older, and front-line workers. And some eligible Coloradans are choosing to hold off on getting vaccinated.
