Kids Tech Safety Night At Falcon Bluffs MS In Littleton
Parents of school-age children are invited to a Jefferson County sheriff's presentation about online threats to kids of all ages.

LITTLETON, CO -- Last March, the JeffCo Sheriff's office warned about unsafe chatrooms in a popular video game, Fortnite.
"They (children) forget that they’re possibly playing with somebody who says they’re the same age or something, but it can be an older person trying to trick them, trying to lure them," Jefferson County Sheriff Sgt. Michael Harris told Fox31.
Now, Harris's unit, The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office’s Child Sex Offender Internet Investigations Unit, or Cheezo, will present a workshop for parents of school-age children.

The Parent Technology Safety Night will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, at Falcon Bluffs Middle School, 8449 S. Garrison St. in Littleton.
Members of the Cheezo unit will discuss common social media sites and applications for smart devices, hidden apps, ghost apps, privacy settings, location services, and technology addiction, the Jeffco Sheriff's Office said in a statement. Experts will also offer suggestions for setting limits on technology use and curfews, they said.
