Littleton Announces 1st-Ever Little Car Jam

Colorado's first-ever drive-in concert will be held June 20 at Aspen Grove.

LITTLETON, CO — Social distancing guidelines have been hard on Coloradans, but the rules have also sparked creativity. While concerts, sports games and other gatherings have been canceled, Littleton has partnered with Aspen Grove to create the state's first-ever Little Car Jam.

The Colorado band Funkiphino will perform live June 20 at Aspen Grove, 7301 South Santa Fe Drive. Concert-goers can listen to the live music with their vehicle's FM stereo system.

The concert is free, but tickets are required for each vehicle. Tickets are limited and won't be available "at the door," organizers said.

Parking starts at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. There will be no late entry or re-entry, organizers said. Chairs will be allowed within a pickup truck bed, but large trucks and SUVs may be directed to park in the back so it does not block others' view of the stage. Pets will not be allowed, organizers said.

Cars will be parked at the required minimum distance according to current safety guidelines, and attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles during the entire concert performance. If there is a need to leave the vehicle, a face mask and social distancing are required.
