Mayor Jerry Valdes expressed his appreciation to each of the eight people who interviewed for the position.

"The council was very impressed with the quality of the candidates," Valdes said in a statement. "There are not enough good things to say about them."

Rudnicki served on the Littleton Planning Commission for 19 years — four as chair and four as chair pro tem. He's been an active member and president of the Aberdeen Village Improvement Association for 23 years. Rudnicki has worked in the architecture industry for more than 47 years, and he and his wife Alicia have lived in Littleton since 1993.
