Littleton Kids: Grand Re-opening of Little's Creek Park Monday

Ribbons will be cut for Little's Creek Playground to celebrate a $350,000 facelift with new equipment and rubber surfacing.

LITTLETON, CO -- A brand new pirate and nautical-themed playground awaits the kids in Little's Creek Park. South Suburban Park and Recreation District (SSPRD) and the City of Littleton will officially open the new playing structures on Monday at 9 a.m. at 131 W Sterne Pkwy. Kids should be impressed by the huge scissors.

The playground now features a pre-schooler play structure and a separate climber for children ages 5-12 years old, plus a brand new swing set. Rubber play surfaces will help protect skinned knees and provide ample opportunities for users with disabilities.

Keeping with the history of your grandparent's Little Creek Park, a nautical theme has been preserved new design, the city said. There are also new shaded benches for those grandparents, and others, to rest on.
