Littleton Rents Are Increasing, Study Says
Littleton rents are up 4 percent from this time last year, a new study shows.
LITTLETON, CO – A new study shows rents in Littleton have increased at among the highest rates in metro Denver this year.
An April, 2019 analysis by The Apartment List shows that rents across Denver have increased moderately (about 2 percent) since 2018, but two cities, Thornton and Littleton showed significant rent increases.
While Denver's median two-bedroom rent of $1,350 is above the national average of $1,170, Littleton's median rent for a two-bedroom apartment is now $1,890. That was 4 percent higher than the median recorded last year. The median rent recorded this year in Littleton for a one-bedroom apartment was $1,490.

In Denver, the one-bedroom median was $1,060. The year-to-year increase in median rents in Denver was 2 percent, the study showed. Thornton had the same median rents as Littleton, according to the study, with prices increasing year-over-year by 5.8 percent.
Nationwide, rents have grown by 1.3 percent over the past year compared to the 2.0 percent increase in Denver, the study showed.

but nationwide, Denver's prices are still fairly reasonable, the study said. In San Francisco, the nationwide study showed the median monthly rent of a two-bedroom apartment was $3,110 – more than twice the price in Denver.
