Public Input Sought On Bike & Foot Access To South Platte
South Platte Connections Study wants your idea to make Mary Carter Greenway Trail and river more friendly.

From South Platte Working Group: The South Platte Working Group, a partnership between the Cities of Englewood, Littleton, and Sheridan, South Suburban Park and Recreation District, Arapahoe County, and others, recently launched the South Platte Connections Study to identify ways to improve bicycle and pedestrian access to the South Platte River/Mary Carter Greenway Trail.
The South Platte Connections study includes a website where individuals can post comments, an online survey, on-trail events along the South Platte, and community open house events. The online survey and study information can be found at www.southplatteconnections.com.
The study will focus on seven locations where access to the South Platte is difficult today, including:
Dartmouth, Hampden, Oxford, Federal, Belleview, Bowles, and Mineral. The study, which is funded by the Arapahoe County Open Space Sales and Use Tax, seeks to understand local needs and visions for accessing the South Platte and what improvements would be most beneficial. Citizens can provide input through the online survey, by visiting with project team members at on-trail events, or by leaving comments on the project website. The survey will close September 14.
