Trapped Dog Extracted From Under Home By Littleton Firefighters
Luna, the 8-year-old Jack Russell terrier, was stuck under house for more than 35 hours until her rescue Wednesday.

CENTENNIAL, CO – Rescue crews from several south metro emergency organizations worked together to extract a Jack Russell terrier that got herself into trouble when she got stuck under a home's foundation Tuesday. Eight-year-old Luna was trapped under the house for more than 30 hours.
Terrence and Anne Timmerman said they thought Luna was chasing a rabbit and got stuck. Terrance tried to dig through the foundation, but couldn't make much headway until rescue workers from South Metro Fire and Littleton Fire Department showed up.
They could hear Luna barking as they teamed up to cut concrete and decking material in the rain and worked from above and below to get to the dog.
