Youth Art Classes To Design Littleton Of The Future

Envision Littleton's Youth Art Show will create the city in 2020 and 2040 through the eyes of kids age 10-15 in 4 art classes.

LITTLETON, CO – Ask a kid to imagine their city in the future and what will you get? Flying cars? Giant swimming pools? Envision Littleton is hoping to draw forth just these kinds of visionary images from kids ages 10-15 at a special four-week art class.

Partnering with artSPARK, a creative public studio in downtown Littleton, the class will draw forth ideas and values that are "important to the city" in 2020 and 2040 – and create images and concepts that will be displayed in a traveling art show. The art will be displayed at Envision Littleton community events in October including the Friends Craft Fair, Harvest Festival, Paris Street Market, and Littleton Stride, the city said in a press release.

The Envision Littleton Youth Art Show costs $60 for the four-week course. You can register a child artist at the registration site. Classes take place Mondays 4:30-6 p.m. on July 23, 30, August 6, 13 at 5650 South Curtice Street.
