A Moment of Silence to Reflect on 9/11
The Avon Volunteer Fire Department held its annual 9/11 memorial service on the 12th anniversary September 11, 2013.
Mike Nolan, lieutenant of Avon Volunteer Fire Department's Company 1 fire station, led fellow firefighters, police officers, town officials, Avon High School student and Avon residents in a moment of silence to reflect, remember and recommit on the 12th anniversary of 9/11 at Wednesday's memorial service there.
