Avon Daughter Thanks Greenwich Mom Ahead Of Mother's Day: Photo
Help us celebrate Mother's Day 2018 by sending in your mother-daughter lookalike photo.

AVON, CT — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 on Sunday, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Connecticut to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.
It doesn't matter how old the kids are, they'll always be your babies! And part of the fun of motherhood is watching your children grow up and enjoy the same things that you love.
In the message below, daughter Fernanda Goncalves, of Avon, says that she is thankful to know that she always has her mom, Roberta Pompeu from Old Greenwich, in her corner.

"For as long as I can remember people have been saying we look so much alike," writes Fernanda. "I am lucky to have had you as my number 1 cheerleader and role-model. You always fought hard to achieve your goals in life and that is a lesson my brother and I live by each and every day. We love you! Happy Mother’s Day 'mamãe'!"
It's your turn, Patch readers — what traits do you and your mom share? Submit your lookalike photos by sending them to brian.mccready@patch.com. Be sure to include a nice message for your loved one, as well as the city/location of the photo and the date it was taken. Or — post it via the bulletin board section of your local Patch site and we'll be sure to share.
