Avon Girl Scouts Host Sign-Up Night On Sept. 12

From the Girl Scouts of Connecticut: Avon Girl Scouts Sign-Up Night is Tuesday, Sept. 12, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Avon Library. Girl Scouts is open to all girls, from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Avon Girl Scouts currently has 22 troops in Avon at all levels and at each of the Avon schools. New troops will be forming after sign-up night on 9/12. Drop in to sign up your daughter. Gifts of love is looking for healthy-choice items such as low-sodium and low-sugar canned fruits and vegetables, boxed cereals, and peanut butter and jelly. Toiletries, such as shampoo and toothpaste, and laundry detergent are helpful. They are also accepting fall and winter clothing.
