Avon Resident Named to Hartford Business Journal's 40 Under Forty List

Avon resident Dan Gottfried, a tax and business law partner at Hinckley Allen’s Hartford office, has been named as one of Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty winners.

Gottfried, 37, was recognized based on his career success to date, and potential to lead the professional world of the future.

With a deep background in tax matters, Gottfried’s practice includes structuring, negotiating, and documenting business deals and investment transactions throughout the United States and around the world - such as mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, and joint ventures.

Gottfried also assists multinational investors and their families with respect to their international investments, including tax planning and compliance needs - including extensive experience as counsel to taxpayers with respect to the IRS offshore initiative.

He is also a member of the CT Bar Association, where he is Chair of the Executive Committee of the Tax Section and the International Tax Subcommittee.

In addition to tax work, Gottfried represents a variety of business entities - particularly entrepreneurial businesses, private investment funds, and family offices - in general corporate matters, investment and financing transactions, private securities offerings, and mergers and acquisitions.

Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty Class of 2015 is recognized in the July 20 special issue and will be awarded at the Sept. 30 event at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
