AVON, CT — Avon Public Schools will be fully remote following several coronavirus cases linked to a social gathering during Thanksgiving break, according to NBC CT. School district officials said they learned that several high school students tested positive after attending a gathering outside of school.

Contact tracers later found that there are potential contacts to these cases across all of the district's schools.

Remote learning begins Thursday and will continue to Dec. 14, NBC CT reported.
