An Avon woman who uses a wheelchair is speaking out about a broken elevator at her apartment building.

AVON, CT — An Avon woman who uses a wheelchair is speaking out about a broken elevator in her apartment building, according to FOX 61. Karen Champagne-Jackson lives on the third floor of the Avon Mill Apartments and cannot use the stairs.
The elevator hasn't been working since last Thursday. Champagne-Jackson described the situation as "emotionally distressing" as she is unable to leave the building.
