Documentary about Local Nonprofit Wins New England Emmy Awards
"At Wonder's Peak: Discovering Science on Talcott Mountain"--a CPTV documentary about the Talcott Mountain Science Center--receives Emmys.

This week, the Talcott Mountain Science Center announced that the Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) production, At Wonder’s Peak: Discovering Science on Talcott Mountain, won two Boston-New England EMMY Awards from The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The awards were received in the Education/Schools category and for Photographer-Program.
The documentary, directed by CPTV’s David Wurtzel, focuses on the unique, hands-on approach to education that Talcott has pioneered and focused on for more than 50 years. It explores how teachers at the Talcott Mountain Science Center and Academy coach students through an experiential discovery process and how it inspires them to apply their knowledge in breakthrough ways. The film originally debuted in October 2018 on Connecticut Public Television and is currently available online at https://cptv.org/at-wonders-peak/.
