How Many Avon Residents Received Coronavirus Vaccine So Far?
State health officials released data for the first time which shows how many residents in each town have been vaccinated for COVID-19.
AVON, CT — According to the state Department of Public Health, a total of 2,581 residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
There are 18,276 residents and 14.12 percent of them have received their first dose. Avon has 1,549 residents over the age of 75 and 897 of them have received their first dose or 58 percent, according to state health officials.
Since the pandemic began in March, Avon has reported 663 cases and 69 deaths.
