Laura Ward Opens Life and Recovery Coaching Practice

Avon Resident Combines Passion and Personal Experience to Become a Support for Others

Avon resident Laura Ward today announces the opening Laura Ward Coaching, LLC, a life and recovery coaching practice. Certified as a professional life and addiction recovery coach, Ward works with U.S. and international clients who desire to live alcohol free, people who wish to uncover their fears and doubts and identify what blocks them from living their best lives; discover their authentic selves and embrace what brings them joy, peace, and purpose; and recover their lives and harness what nourishes their mind, body, and spirit.

In recovery from alcohol addiction herself, Ward uses experience, resources, accountability, one-on-one support, and other tools to help guide clients to identify and achieve goals they set for themselves.

“My biggest fear when I quit drinking was not having any idea who I was and feeling like I might never know,” says Ward. “But, when I stopped drowning myself and hiding behind my secret life, the cloud lifted and I found the clarity and freedom that helped me step into my power, realize my worth, and begin living a joyful, intentional, healthy, purposeful life.”

As a coach, Ward is not a counselor, therapist, or medical professional. She is a change agent whose job is to support her clients in achieving specific personal or professional goals, to partner with them in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their potential. Ward helps clients reclaim their power, take charge of their lives, become more self-confident, improve relationships, discover joy, and live their purpose.

“I spent more than 12 years self-medicating a back injury – first with pills and then with alcohol,” adds Ward. “By 2013, my life had become unmanageable. It wasn’t just what the booze was doing to me; I simply felt unworthy. It was no way to live; in fact, I wasn’t living. I finally gave myself permission for a do-over. With support from a coach, I transformed my life. Now, I want to help others do the same.”
