Man Burglarizes Avon Home, Flees On Foot: Police
A Springfield man is under arrest following the burglary of an Avon home.

AVON, CT - A man has been arrested following the burglary of a Timber Lane home, according to police. Jarne Jones, 27, of Springfield, Mass., was arrested on charges of third-degree burglary and interference with an officer. He was released on $100,000 bond and will appear in Hartford Superior Court Feb. 6.
According to police, officers responded to a burglary in progress at Timber Lane at 8:40 p.m. Thursday. The homeowner stated that he viewed a male burglarizing his home on his surveillance cameras.
The suspect fled through a side door of the home as officers were setting up a perimeter. Officers chased the suspect on foot for 100 years when Jones was taken into custody without incident. Items taken from the residence, in Jones’ possession, were recovered.
