New Director at Farmington Valley Arts Center
Exciting things are happening at the Farmington Valley Arts Center in Avon, Ct.

The Farmington Valley Arts Center (FVAC) in Avon, Connecticut is pleased to announce that Cindy Ingram has joined the organization as it’s Director of Development. Cindy’s key focus will be on developing fundraising events and programs to attract and engage the communities of Avon, the Farmington Valley, and beyond.
The Farmington Valley Arts Center’s mission is to enrich lives through art. We are dedicated to cultivating a community where people can create, learn, exhibit, exchange ideas and inspire each other. We welcome and
support participants of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds on their personal
artistic journey.
“I look forward to making FVAC more visible in the community, to holding events at the Arts Center and local hot spots, and getting people excited about upcoming art shows and participating in classes,” shares Cindy.
“Especially in these times of stress and responsibility, there is nothing more wonderful than artistic expression.”

Cindy is also looking forward to partnering with other local businesses and non -profit organizations to explore how collaboration and partnership can benefit the wider community.
Roy David FVAC President commented on how delighted he was to have Cindy join the FVAC Team. “Cindy brings her impressive background and experience in non-profit organizations, community organizing and fundraising to FVAC.”
Cindy has lived in Connecticut for three years, having moved here from Eugene, Oregon. In Eugene Cindy raised two children, served in leadership roles within social services organizations and owned a successful
promotions company. Cindy produced music festivals and fundraising events for many non-profit organizations. She developed a membership program at a Eugene-based fine art gallery, designed exhibits and worked closely with many performance and visual artists.

Cindy lives in Avon with her husband and their dog named Sprout. They enjoy hiking and traveling and Cindy is also an avid foodie and passionate home cook.

Incorporated in 1974 as a not-for-profit organization, the Farmington Valley Arts Center is housed in the historic red sandstone buildings of the former Climax Fuse Factory in Avon, CT. FVAC has been connecting the community to the creative process for over 40 years. We offer unique educational programming, gallery exhibits, special events and the opportunity to engage with a community of professional working artists.
FVAC is a not for profit organization that offers individuals and families a place to participate in art through classes, exhibits, Art Parties as well as, view and/or purchase works of art from more than 70 local, regional and national artists.
