New Grocery Store Opening In Avon

AVON, CT - Whole Foods Market will close its Bishops Corner location and move to a new Avon space, NBC Connecticut reported. The new store will be in Avon Village Center.

It's expected that employees will have the option transfer to the new store, which should add around 50 new jobs, according to WFSB.

It's unclear when the move will occur. The new store is about five miles away from the current location.

Whole Foods will still operate its other West Hartford location in Blue Back Square.
