Nine Avon School Employees Resign Before New School Year
The retirements and resignations were presented at the school board meeting Tuesday.
Jane Ellen Peregrin, Avon High School director of counseling, was one of nine district employees to resign effective August.
Recent resignations include the following:

- Eric Anderson, district maintainer (effective Aug. 19)
- Melissa Brochu, Avon High School building substitute (effective Aug. 13.)
- Lowell Humphrey, district transportation aid (effective July 31)
- Jane Ellen Peregrin, Avon High School counselor (effective Aug. 1)
- Katty Quezada, Avon Middle School world language teacher (effective Aug. 26)
- Margaret Seidel, Thompson Brook School sixth rade teacher (effective Aug. 26)
- Jeanna Shillington, Pine Grove School para-educator (effective Aug. 13)
- Kelli Varano, Pine Grove School intervention tutor (effective Aug. 23)
- Angela von Paternos, district food services worker (effective Aug. 11)
