AVON, CT - Nicholas Mackenzie, 39, of Avon, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday, January 10, 2019. Born in Pontiac, MI, son of Ralph Mackenzie of Stockbridge, GA and the late Lynda (Guterman) Mackenzie, he was raised there where he attended Gordon College in Barnesville, GA. He came to Avon to live with his aunt’s family several months ago and had been employed in the IT Department of Bob’s Discount Furniture Stores. A true to life world traveler, kind lover of all felines, handsome musician, expert information technologist, world class charmer, and citizen of heaven.
Besides his dad, Ralph Mackenzie of Georgia; he leaves his grandfather Prof. Ralph E. Mackenzie of San Diego, CA; and his aunt Suzanne Neville, her husband Jon and their family of Avon.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life and faith will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019, 11 AM at the Valley Community Baptist Church, 590 West Avon Road, Avon. A reception will follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to Ralph Mackenzie, 3588 Highway 138 SE #195, Stockbridge, GA 30281. The Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center of Avon is caring for the arrangements.
