Outdoor Sports Store To Open Second Location In Avon

AVON, CT — Bob's Sports Chalet will open a second location at 195 Main St. in Avon next week. The store currently operates a Bristol location.

Bob’s Sports Chalet has been continuously run by the same family for over 57 years.

"We’re looking forward to bringing our high quality service and expertise to Avon and the Farmington Valley," they said in a statement.

"You’ll find more top name brands here under one roof than anywhere else.

"We have the best ski rental program you’ll find in Connecticut. Kids rentals start at $99 for the season and all adult seasonal rentals are just $199. Our rentals include tuned skis, ski boots and poles. And if your child has a growth spurt in the middle of the season, no problem! Just bring in your equipment and we will exchange it for larger sizes at no extra charge to you."

The Avon location's opening day will be Thursday, Oct. 10. The Avon store hours will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The store will be located in Plaza 44 at the former Sun & Ski location.
