Thanksgiving Tent at Miller Foods open from Nov. 18-22

Miller Foods’ Thanksgiving Tent, an annual tradition for more than 20 years, will open Saturday, Nov. 18 at 9 a.m., with music provided by Connecticut’s Bristol Old Tyme Fiddlers. The outdoor tent gives consumers a one-stop shopping venue where turkey, trimmings, vegetables and desserts can be purchased for the holiday. Shoppers can receive free samples of prepared foods such as mashed potatoes, gravy and pies.

In addition to the wares Miller Foods sells under the five-day tent event, several other Connecticut-made products will be sold. Vendors include Avon Cider Mill, Pickin’ Patch, Doyle’s eggs, Tulmeadow Farm ice cream, Munson’s Chocolates, and The Spice Mill. Oma’s Pride, a line of pet food manufactured at Miller Foods, can also be purchased, along with Hargento leather leashes made in Hartford.

The tent schedule is: Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 18 and 19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Monday, Nov. 20, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Tuesday, Nov. 21, 8 a.m.-7 p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 22, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
