Town Of Avon Announces Key Dates In The Budget Process

The process to prepare the FY 2021/2022 budget that takes effect on July 1, 2021 is well underway. Key dates leading to the budget referendum are noted below.

• The Board of Finance Public Hearing regarding the proposed budget will be held virtually on April 5th at 7:00 p.m. Access instructions and guidance pertaining to the submission of comments will be made available on the Town’s website prior to the hearing.
• The Board of Finance Budget Workshop will be held virtually on April 7th at 7:00 p.m.
• The Town Meeting will be held on May 3rd at 7:00 p.m.; location to be determined.
• The Budget Referendum is scheduled for May 12th at the Avon Senior Center.

Please note that this information may be subject to change based on Executive Orders issued by Governor Lamont. Any updates to this schedule will be shared on the Town’s website as they become available. Additionally, further detailed information on the proposed budget, Town Meeting, and Budget Referendum will be available in the April Newsletter.
