The Town of Avon is providing information to the public concerning replacement of the bridge which carries Cider Brook Road over Cider Brook in the Town. The project is currently in the final design phase and consists of replacement of the existing bridge in its entirety with a new structure and construction of safety approaches on each end of the bridge. The bridge is located on Cider Brook Road, approximately 425-feet southeast of the intersection of Cider Brook Road with Waterville Road (Route 10). The public is invited to review this information and provide comments, questions and concerns to the Town Engineer by email or written letter. In order for the Town to keep the project on schedule, we ask that comments and questions be provided within 14-days of this posting. Interested parties may also contact the consulting engineer, Gary Giroux, P.E., of Cardinal Engineering Associates, Inc. at (203) 238-1969. It is the Town’s policy to keep persons informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share its concerns to assist in the project’s development.
