Tractor-Trailer Rolls Over In Avon Crash
Police reported that the wreck occurred Thursday afternoon.
AVON, CT — A tractor-trailer carrying masonry supplies rolled over onto its side on Waterville Road in Avon Thursday afternoon, according to police. The truck was attempting a left turn onto Route 10 southbound, from Route 44 (Avon Mountain).
Police said materials from the truck were spilled onto the lawns of businesses at 3 Waterville Road and 5 Waterville Road.
No one was injured in the incident. However, the truck operator was taken to an area hospital as a precaution. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was notified of a small diesel fuel leak from the truck.
