West Hartford Man Dies In Car V. Building Crash

AVON, CT — A West Hartford man died after his car left the road and hit a building in Avon over the weekend, The Hartford Courant reported. Eugene Fitzgerald, 53, died in the accident at 12 W. Main St. at about 7:30 a.m.

The building the car struck has a business on the first floor and apartments on the second floor. No one else was injured, and the building did not suffer structural damage, according to The Courant.
