Bethel Firefighters Tackle Hay Fire Burning In Back Of Truck
First responders were able to dump the burning hay along the approximately 200-foot long driveway.
BETHEL, CT — Firefighters tackled a hay fire, in the back of a truck, on Saturday afternoon.
Shortly before 2 p.m., firefighters from Bethel Fire & EMS and Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company were alerted to truck with a load of hay burning in the back, near a home.
First responders were able to dump the burning hay along the approximately 200-foot long driveway. The fire was not endangering any buildings, fire officials said.

Crews extinguished the burning hay, as well as what was left smoldering on the truck. A piece of machinery used to shred and spread bales of hay was also destroyed.
