Bethel Launches App to Pay for Commuter Parking
Commuters no longer need to stop and pay for their space and risk missing their train.
BETHEL, CT --The Town Clerk has taken to social media to promote commuters' use of ParkSmarter™, an app for iPhones and Android devices which enables remote payment for parking spaces.
"I am happy to report that the Bethel Metro-North Parking lot now accepts mobile payments via your IPhone or Android," Lisa Bergh wrote. "This app will allow remote payments for your space should you require more time."
To facilitate downloading the app, QR codes have been placed on the signs near the spaces and also on the payment kiosk. Alternately, commuters may download the app directly from the Apple or Android stores.
