Bethel Police Charge Driver In Crash That Killed One Person
The charges stem from a fatal head-on collision that occurred on Mother's Day in Bethel.

BETHEL, CT — Police have charged a 66-year-old Cherry Lane man with misconduct following their investigation into the Mother's Day crash that killed one driver.
Police say Bradley Stock crossed over the center line while passing another northbound vehicle on Route 53 in the area of its intersection with Mansfield Street on May 10. The drivers of both vehicles had to be extricated by firefighters and transported to Danbury Hospital. Both drivers suffered "significant injuries," according to a report from Bethel Fire & EMS. On May 13, 2020, one of the drivers died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
"Stock's vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed," according to police, when it collided with the victim's car travelling in the southbound lane, striking it head-on.
