Bethel Police Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Accident
A single-vehicle accident Sunday led to the death of the driver.
Bethel police are looking into a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred Sunday evening at the intersection of Mansfield Street and Fleetwood Ave.
An initial investigation showed that the motorcycle’s driver was traveling east on Mansfield Street when he suddenly went off the road and onto the grass. The driver was thrown from the bike and suffered significant injuries.
Emergency responders arrived on scene around 5:19 p.m. and rushed the driver to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are withholding the driver’s name while the family is notified.
