COVID-19 In Newtown: 9 Deaths, 116 Confirmed Cases

NEWTOWN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Public Health has confirmed that 116 cases of the new coronavirus have been reported in Newtown as of Saturday, and 9 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19.
Connecticut had its 10th consecutive day of fewer coronavirus hospitalizations, but the state also had 97 newly-reported deaths Saturday.
There were 523 new lab-confirmed coronavirus cases out of 2,236 results along with 41 fewer hospitalizations. There have been 29,287 cases, 2,436 deaths and currently 1,551 hospitalizations.
