Danbury, CT – Musicals at Richter (MAR) concludes its 21st season of Fairy Tale Theater, a play series by and for young people, on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Workspace Education in Bethel with “Pinocchio.” "Aesop's Fables" will presented on July 20, 2019.
Performed by an ensemble of young area actors under the direction of veteran children’s theater director and performer Missy Slaymaker-Hanlon of Ridgefield Theater Barn, this hour-long, interactive adaptation of a classic children’s tale includes plenty of audience participation, a show-related craft activity, birthday recognitions and a visit with Mother Goose (played by Slaymaker-Hanlon). In the case of inclement weather, the performance will be held inside the Workspace facility.

“The kids really give their all in the performances,” says Slaymaker-Hanlon. “They love exploring these stories and bringing the characters to life, but the best part for them is seeing how children in the audience respond and enthusiastically follow the action.”
“We’re excited to return to Workspace Education with its beautiful grounds and versatile facility, which allows us to perform rain or shine,” says Slaymaker-Hanlon. “It's great to be supporting Workspace's program and helping to spread the word about all they are doing in their amazing facility. The Workspace staff members have been so welcoming to us, and we are delighted to be there!”
