First Responder Injured in Bethel House Fire
One first responder suffered a minor hand injury and was taken to Danbury Hospital.
BETHEL, CT —One first responder was taken to the hospital with a minor hand injury following a basement ire early Saturday.
Both Bethel and Stony Hill firefighters were dispatched to a home on Elizabeth Street at around 12:30 a.m. following a report of a house fire. First responders found a basement fire in a multi-family dwelling.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, but "remained on scene for an extended period of time overhauling and ventilating the house," according to a report from Stony Hill.

One responder was transported to Danbury Hospital with a minor hand injury and was quickly released, fire officials said.
The cause is under investigation by the Bethel Emergency Management & Fire Marshal office.
