Local Chef Crowned Champion On TV Food Network
The executive chef was crowned champion on the latest episode of Food Network's "Chopped."
BETHEL, CT — The executive chef at Note Kitchen and Bar was crowned champion on the latest episode of Food Network's "Chopped."
The triumph came in the 13th episode of the venerable show's 45th season, which aired at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Calin Sauvron was among four chefs who were challenged to create plates with a Korean dish made with intestines and a super spicy condiment. In the final round, the three remaining competitors had to make successful quail entrées.

The chef was born and raised in Connecticut and began her professional career at Carmen Anthony's in Waterbury, according to her current employer's website. She later moved on to be executive chef for At The Corner in Litchfield.
"Her passion for perfection and focus on seasonal, locally sourced food allows her to continually surprise" patrons Note Kitchen and Bar, according to the website.
