Police Arrest Bethel Man On Charges Of Sexual Assault Of Juvenile
The arrest followed an investigation in which an 8-year-old girl said she had been molested at the man's residence, according to police.
BETHEL, CT — Police arrested a Bethel man on two count of first-degree sexual assault and one count of risk of injury to a minor.
On Saturday morning, Bethel police executed a warrant for the arrest of Santos Cardona, 45. The warrant was the result of an investigation in which an 8-year-old girl told her parent she had been molested at Cardona's residence, according to police.
During the course of the investigation another girl, age 6, was also identified, according to the police report.

Cardona was taken into custody at 4 a.m. Saturday at the Best Western hotel on Stony Hill Road, and was held on a $150,000 bond. He was arraigned at Waterbury Superior Court later that morning.
