Therese M. DeLuca, 86, of Bethel, Died Peacefully

The Bethel resident was a reference librarian at Bridgeport Public Library, an avid cook, traveler, artist, and animal advocate.

BETHEL, CT — Therese M. DeLuca, 86, of Bethel, died peacefully at Regional Hospice in Danbury on Wednesday, November 17, 2016. Therese was born in Bridgeport, on April 19th, 1930 to the late Stanley R. Solinsky and Mary (Tibor) Solinsky. She graduated from Laurelton Hall in 1948 and attended the Universities of Bridgeport, and Saint Joseph. In 1950, she married the late Ralph A. DeLuca, Jr. and together they raised two surviving sons, Ralph A. DeLuca III of Bethel, and Robert S. DeLuca of East Marion, NY. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and extended family.

She was a reference librarian at Bridgeport Public Library, an avid cook, traveler, artist, and animal advocate. During her life, she hiked the Sahara, lived in Egypt and nurtured many pets and wild animals. A private service is planned.
