What is the true Native American story of Thanksgiving? Join us at the Bethel Public Library on Monday November 18, 6:30 pm, to find out! In Native American cultures, oral storytelling teaches, guides, and entertains. Our presenter, Darlene Kascak, a Native American storyteller and educator with the Institute of American Indian Studies, will do all three as she shares the story of Thanksgiving based on the facts known about the indigenous people of New England.

The Institute for American Indian Studies (IAIS) in Washington, CT, preserves and educates about the diverse traditions, vitality, and knowledge of Native American cultures. This Library program is a great opportunity to learn about the IAIS. In addition, the Bethel Public Library is pleased to have a pass for half-price admission to the IAIS, available for checkout with your Library card.
