Academy of Dance Competition Team Receives High Scores

The Academy of Dance Competition team recently participated in the “On Stage America” Regional Competition. The team received High Platinum adjudication awards for their four group routines and placed in the overall top ten for all four routines.

In addition, the team received the following special awards: “Cool Ending” for their tap number “Journey through Space”, “Precision Plus” for their tap number “Give it Up”, and “Perfect Patterns and Pictures” for their musical production number “All Shook Up”.

The Academy Of Dance Competition team also participated in Sophisticated Productions Regional Competition with great success and will compete in Starquest Regional Competition in April. The studio will perform in their annual Spring Showcase on May 31, 2015 at Hamden Middle School in Hamden.

Academy of Dance, LLC, located at 8 Lunar Drive in Woodbridge, is under the direction of Teresa Gambardella. Terry is the recipient of many choreography awards in both local and national events. Her students have been recognized for their technical achievements and great style on stage.
